Function
1. Connecting and guiding high-temperature exhaust gas: Installed downstream of the turbocharger outlet, as a key transition component of the exhaust system, it smoothly guides the high-temperature and high-pressure exhaust gas discharged from the turbocharger into subsequent exhaust butterfly valves, mufflers, etc., optimizing the exhaust path, reducing back pressure loss, and improving engine combustion efficiency and power output.
2. Supports engine exhaust braking: This bend is specifically designed for integrated exhaust braking systems and is often used in conjunction with an exhaust butterfly valve (082V15600-6134). When the vehicle is descending a long slope, under heavy load, or requiring auxiliary deceleration, the butterfly valve closes to generate controllable back pressure, utilizing the engine compression resistance to achieve a slow braking function. This effectively reduces the burden on the service brakes, prevents overheating of the brake drum/disc, and improves driving safety and brake system lifespan under mountainous and long-distance heavy-load conditions.
3. Withstand exhaust temperatures of 600-800℃ or higher, ensuring no leaks in the exhaust system and maintaining the overall sealing and reliability of the system; optimize exhaust flow path, assist the aftertreatment system (SCR, DPF, etc.) to work normally, reduce exhaust noise and pulse vibration; and promote exhaust gas recirculation and particulate capture.
