Disassembly, Assembly, and Maintenance Specifications
1. Distinguishing Left-Hand and Right-Hand Threads: This part is a right-hand ball joint. When installing at either end of the tie rod, verify the thread direction; do not confuse it with a left-hand ball joint, as this could damage the internal threads of the tie rod.
2. Thorough Cleaning of Tapered Bores: Before installing a new ball joint, use a cleaning agent to thoroughly remove oil, metal shavings, and old residue from the tapered bore of the front axle steering knuckle or tie rod to ensure a perfect fit of the tapered surfaces.
