Working Principle

1. Depressing the Clutch Pedal: Pressing down on the pedal causes the pushrod to drive the piston within the master cylinder forward.

The hydraulic fluid is compressed to generate high pressure, which is then transmitted through the high-pressure line to the clutch slave cylinder.
3. Clutch Disengagement: Upon receiving the high-pressure fluid, the internal piston of the slave cylinder actuates the release fork or pushrod, thereby separating the clutch pressure plate from the friction disc; this interrupts the power transmission between the engine and the transmission, facilitating gear shifting.
4. Releasing the Pedal: As the pedal returns to its original position, the master cylinder piston retracts under the force of the return spring, releasing the pressure within the cylinder. The hydraulic fluid flows back into the reservoir through the compensation port; the pressure in the slave cylinder dissipates, and the clutch disc re-engages under spring tension, thereby restoring power transmission.
