2. Precise Control of Fuel Supply and Pressure: The built-in metering unit, located on the low-pressure side, adjusts the fuel intake quantity according to ECU commands, achieving "on-demand fuel supply." This avoids over-compressing excess fuel, reducing pump load, lowering fuel temperature, and saving energy.

3. Multi-Stage Injection Support: Provides a high-pressure source for the common rail system, supporting pre-injection, main injection, and post-injection, optimizing the combustion process.

4. Precise Timing and Quantity Injection: The high-pressure pump works in conjunction with the ECU, rail pressure sensor, and injectors. The ECU controls the metering unit based on engine load, speed, temperature, and other parameters to achieve precise timing, quantity, and pressure of fuel injection, improving combustion efficiency.
