Function
1. Diesel fuel coarse filtration and impurity removal: As the first filtration barrier in the fuel supply system, it filters out larger particulate impurities in the diesel fuel, preventing these contaminants from entering precision components such as the high-pressure common rail system, fuel injection pump, and injectors, thus preventing wear, jamming, or poor injection.
2. Efficient oil-water separation:Using the principle of coalescing filter paper + gravity separation, free water, emulsified water, and condensed water in the diesel fuel are effectively separated and collected at the bottom of the filter element. Since water is denser than diesel fuel, it settles to the bottom and is discharged through the drain valve, preventing water from entering the engine.
3. Ensuring fuel system cleanliness and engine reliability: This ensures that the diesel fuel entering the fine filter (secondary filter) and high-pressure fuel pump is highly clean, improving combustion efficiency, reducing emissions, and extending the lifespan of injectors and high-pressure pumps (common rail systems have extremely high requirements for fuel cleanliness; excessive impurities/moisture can easily lead to expensive repairs). This is especially crucial in environments with poor-quality diesel fuel or high humidity.
