FUNCTION
1. Coarse Filtration of Diesel Impurities
During refueling, the filter screen effectively blocks larger particulate impurities-such as dust, grit, rust, and other foreign matter-from entering the fuel tank, thereby preventing these contaminants from settling directly at the bottom of the tank.
2. Protection of the Entire Fuel System
It prevents impurities from entering precision components-including fuel lines, fuel filter elements, transfer pumps, high-pressure fuel pumps, and fuel injectors-thereby reducing the risk of clogging, wear, and mechanical failure.
3. Auxiliary Anti-Theft Function
The mesh structure serves as a partial deterrent by hindering siphoning tubes from easily reaching the bottom of the fuel tank to extract fuel, thereby increasing the difficulty of fuel theft.
Working Principle
This filter screen is installed inside the fuel tank's filler neck (beneath the filler cap) and features a cup- or funnel-shaped plastic mesh structure.
